ABOUT
Darcy Inman’s work embodies series of photographs and visual media to deconstruct the erotic and examine reconstructions of the self. With a focus on the dialogue between interior and exterior boundaries of the self, her work combines documentations of liminality and a constant veiling and unveiling of the entanglement of desire, grief and sex.
Through nomadic practice (Athens Residency - October 2025), mapping sites, traces and fragments of the erotic, she is able to converse with desire in its materiality. Encapsulating the residue from her encounters currently results in symbols of the hand, via handprints, stains, and choreographed movement (REVOLVER, 2025). The ongoing repetition and structure of linear series in her compositions replicate the function of everyday society.
